LingunAI ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LingunAI language learning platform at lingunai.app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Usage data: features you use (stories, podcasts, flashcards, grammar checks, roleplay sessions) and how often you use them.
Payment data: billing name, email, and transaction records. Card details are processed directly by our payment provider (Stripe) and never stored on our servers.
Device data: IP address, browser user agent, and a device fingerprint hash used to prevent abuse of the free plan.
Content you generate: stories, flashcards, and other learning content you create within the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account.
To deliver the features of the service (AI-generated content, flashcard reviews, grammar checks, etc.).
To enforce usage limits and subscription plans.
To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
To monitor and improve the platform and prevent abuse.

3. AI Processing

LingunAI uses third-party large language model providers to generate content (stories, podcasts, grammar feedback, etc.). When you use these features, the text you submit (topics, words, prompts) is sent to these providers for processing. We do not share your name, email, or account details with AI providers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Stripe — for payment processing.
AI model providers — for content generation (prompt text only, no account identifiers).
Hosting and infrastructure providers — to operate the platform.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
